Power supply

Just curious - any reason you are going for the 88gt rather than the 4850?

Well simple really because i have a sli motherboard. So i can get a another geforce later if one 88gt doesn't do it for me anymore.i think 2x 88gts will out preform one 4850 am not sure really.:p

ahh... but you can spend more cash and get a crossfire mobo and another 2 4850's and triple x-fire em and then your pc will wtfpwn...considering you have teh $$ ofc :D

Well you wont be sorry, the 8800GT is an awsome card! :D

I also had problems with thermaltake. Had 2x 500W, both died - was using UPS aswell.

My brother has an Aopen 350W, and after 5 years - it still works flawlessly.

I now use a 630W Raidmax, awesome - very quiet.

But some "Americanians" said that I will need a bigger PSU if I wanna crossfire 4850s. I'm running an E6420.

Americanians always talk rubbish. One of the pre-built system sold by Landmark PC, came with more power CPU than yours, Sli 9800GTX, running 650W fine.

Sorry for sounding daft, but what is a SA record? Do all competitors play something from the 1990s every year? If you are not trying to do the same thing as previously, I cannot see how there can be records.
I'm talking overclocking and benchmarking records. That is taking the record means having the highest verified score in 3DMark Vantage, 06, 05, 03, 01, Super Pi 1M, Aquamark3....In simpler terms having the fastest x86 computer in the country. ;)

You need stable and reliable power and the OdinGT gives just that :)
Get it if you can
