I wonder if JHB has started their new LS schedule stealthily, since the 1st, I've only had 1 2 hour slot in the afternoon/evening. Skipping the morning and late night slots despite them being scheduled.
Same thing happened to me over the weekend in Cape Town. Missed 2 slots. Not complaining.

It wouldn't be that little, and more an on/off/on/off kind of thing when it happens if the stages are 4+.

Have you tried contacting your ward counsellor? We spam the hell out our one when our substation trips and she gets it sorted quickly (we CT tho)
The entire area spams the hell out of his whatsapp group. Only way to talk to him. He just keeps saying he's waiting for updates from the team. That's it.

It's now officially more than 24 hours without power. Pretty much a disaster zone now haha. Power came back for a couple of minutes then it tripped again. Massive problem.

Did you see the tweets from city power on what the issue might be

One part of Fourways was without power from Thursday last week to yesterday. City Power customers.

Power came back at 18:00. Went off at 18:05. I keep telling them to turn their geysers off.

The terms have been so misused at this point that all we can say for sure in a sentence of two, is that Confederalism is so hostile to central economic planners, that they prefer Federalism.

Which, imo, sets the snowball rolling, with every meter made making that Federalist, central-planning ball bigger, and harder to stop.

Hostile to considerate planning, or hostile to abusive planning?
The incentives are so perverse it would compromise the most holy of saints.

Exhibit A: St Fauci

Thinking again, you probably don't agree that some truly considerate activity must be present in centralist economic models.
Oh... for sure. I agree it is present... sometimes in spades.

But there is zero incentive to follow through.

In fact that is incorrect. It's not 'zero'.... it's in negative territory. By a long way.

In 1st world countries they have had to learn sufficient rhetorical sophistication to cover it up from relatively-more literate citizens.

In lesser-developed economies, they go to less trouble. Like SA. They don't need the vote of the relatively-more literate. So the low-bar narrative is tailored to appeal to racism.

Middle of the road leads to Socialism, though as Mises said.
