Maybe, but this is part of the newer official move towards independent supply, and Jo'burg has strong influence.

CT is not using PV, they have a big battery in the mountain.

Waste to gas will probably be about 1MW. Not sure how much comes from the other gas to power IPPs and the rest is non dispatchable PV. Not much detail as usual from these politicians as to the makeup of this 100MW. So far to me it still sounds like political grandstanding.
