ADR chose to neglect power generation capacity and focus on accounting irregularities for 3 years of his tenure, people conveniently forget about that
 
As usual takes time to restore after a 4 hour session, at office power back almost immediately after LS, at home where it was 4 hours still nada.
 
I do not know law etc etc, but does the Constitution not say something that Govt must provide adequate water and sanitation?

If so, does loadshedding not mean that Govt cannot ensure adequate water and sanitation, due to breakdowns due to power outages at pumping stations or sewerage works, or that continuous loadshedding has a negative impact on the reliability of pumps etc?

Can someone please enlighten me, as it is my wishful thinking that there might be a loophole which allows us to lodge a Class Action lawsuit against Eskom/Govt

President Cyril Ramaphosa released an opposing affidavit in the case being brought by the UDM and 18 others, in it saying government was not in breach of the Constitution.

Yes but aren't they obliged to provide the population with dignity, and by not providing power, they can't provide water and sanitation on a dignified level?

By the time ADR started his tenure, Eskom was already in the doldrums. No individual could turn around an ailing company that had been pillaged and corrupt even before we had our first experience of loadshedding. You can't blame one person for years of neglect and abuse.

ADr started in 2020, sht hit the fan in September 2022
If he was unable to turn around the ailing company at least have the decency to leave in the same condition he found it, not worse

Also, compare the timeslots with what we have today.
