Still not really sure why we shed.
Yup if we even get the numbersGoing to be funny seeing the peak loads this week - at least Monday through to Thursday - with the brain boxes at Eskom wondering how demand "fell off a cliff" from just a week ago when it was in ~31-33GW range.
Some of us didn't.Still not really sure why we shed.
They won't. JHB water is doing it too now, it hasn't figured out that demand spikes when you don't have water for weeks and finally get a bit in the taps, so they are blaming JHB for "using more than they can pump" and are threatening "extreme measures" if we don't stop using water lol...Going to be funny seeing the peak loads this week - at least Monday through to Thursday - with the brain boxes at Eskom wondering how demand "fell off a cliff" from just a week ago when it was in ~31-33GW range.

Does anyone know when is the next "breakdown" scheduled for? I am beginning to suspect that ESKOM draws the loadshedding stage numbers from a hat every morning
Will still be interesting to see the non stage 5 and 6 demandsSupposedly one generator at Kusile returning from planned maintenance (800MW) is helping, but that would explain at most, one less stage of LS, not the two/three reduction we are seeing compared to just last Friday.
You could ask in this thread;Does anyone know when is the next "breakdown" scheduled for? I am beginning to suspect that ESKOM draws the loadshedding stage numbers from a hat every morning

Two power stations which have not generated electricity for about a decade are costing the Tshwane Municipality about R300 million a year to maintain.
