Healthy?

Sure it's not updated, but that isn't healthy, unless it spikes to 26/27 we will remain at stage 2/3
They covered an under 2gw shortfall previously using ocgt, with the only real shortfall being peak at night again where they would shed, so 0/2 is probably more realistic in that case

They need to save money too.

They did, but even with it updating, it's not looking good with a 2GW shortfall, in the past they would've burn the resources to cover that, but considering most of last week and Monday/Tuesday they kept running they probably don't have anything left to cover the shortfall.
It's going to remain 2/3

You know what I don't get, is why they can't just shed for the couple of hours of peak in the morning and the 3-4 in the evening (accounting for a bit of load shifting) and not when things are fine... what's up with this 12 hour cycle to cover a 1/4 to less than a 1/4 of that time

I've been saying that for ages, it's really stupid to shed for 24 hours a day when in reality it's only needed from 4pm to 10pm at night and maybe 5am to 9am in the mornings.

because they stupid.

I some how think ESP has inside info, as the are now indicating stage 1/2 weekend. When they last indicated something without Eskom putting it up, they were right... hmm sucks to have LS on a weekend again
