It's stage 1, but will have to see on the weekend itself they have done this before and we get no shedding on the weekend
 
The weather in Jo'burg remained largely cool this week despite expectations, looks like it may be on the mend tomorrow though so maybe they'll drop doing the LS BS then.

The expected new schedule being released on Monday for our city is also interesting, wonder how much notice, if any, they'll give before switching to it.

If anything like 5 Feb 2021, 7pm the night they implement it
 
Weather has improved in Jo'burg, is a brisk morning but even the snowflakes should leave their heaters off now.

Also maybe they'll leave us alone for the cricket world cup, could be the most important match so far today - SA vs India

So for those elsewhere here's how it works in Jo'burg now;

"Only" stages 1 to 8 listed, so other new plans for 16 stages being ignored by City Power for now
Each stage relates to 2 hour shifts only
Each stage increase gets just one further block added to that shift

We got hit already at midnight last night, but I see we're all now on 0/2 (no daytime shedding).

They split our suburb into two, maybe I can find a neighbour we can swap power with over the wall :p

That's because in reality there is nothing above stage 8, because it would literally be made up as it goes and there is literally no logical way to separate it into 2 hour chunks
 
Hope they fix things as power alert is indicating 3GW short not 2
