poweralert stage 2.....

Last night our area had what seems to have been a planned but unscheduled repair, exactly 6.5 hours from 6pm.
Possibly the reason we had skipping, waiting for parts etc.

Anyway - what was interesting was for the first time in years our streetlight was on. Could this be a reason for so many suburbs in Jo'burg now being split into more than one block - allow some streetlights and robots to still work with a bit of cross-wiring?
Might actually be, as they also split my block, it used to be about 115 km² but now it's 35 with some suburbs 25km away

Depending on your municipality, you may experience more aggressive power outages or unplanned outages in municipalities that have defaulted on their agreements with Eskom. The problem with this is that people pay, but the municipalities don't.

No one knows where the money goes, but it is not going to Eskom.

So the fall continues, last year this time

Look I know we're only half way through, but we would need a dramatic fix to improve

Yeah was thinking the same thing when I saw that, was like oh it's Tutuka
Those EAF figures you've provided are scary though. Down from last year again. The decline just continues unabated.

Don't worry though @TheChamp will be along shortly to tell us all about how well Eskom is performing these days.

Yup, and considering last year was already crap, but hey we had one week of it at 60%, it dropped to 56% the next week and 54% the week after.

It's fine. It's not like he has a ton of power to do much in his current portfolio anyway. He can wear the extra hat for a while.
Well he's already made the ROE drop so that's good right? I mean he made the EAF drop sooooo
