If you were the ANC, wouldn't you want to find a way to keep it all on beyond that?... long weekend ended two days ago, vote is getting close now.
I am sure the ANC would love that but they can't perform miracles.

What I don't understand about you conspiracy theorist, when we get a break in loadshedding you come up with all sorts of stories about how the ANC is stopping loadshedding because of elections, then when we have loadshedding a couple of days later you can't explain that.

There us nothing odd about not having loadshedding on a second day after the long weekend, there are a number of factors, there are a number of factors that could be contributing to that.

It all boils down to money IMO, how much extra they're willing to burn. An election with serious threat to them is likely enough to have them burn it all now, guess we'll see soon enough.

At least find a good stretch of days without loadshedding and with no holidays in it, correlate that to excessive use of diesel and no marked improvement in generation and you might just have a credible case.

Impossible - much published data, when available, is seldom reliable. But I get your point.

@wingnut771 Family Day April 10th last year demand was Total Demand: 27 215 MW, for Monday 1st April it was Total demand: 24 992.
But Availability a year ago
Eskom Availabilty: 25 920 MW
Compared to the 1st
Eskom Availability: 27 077 MW.

So demand is 2000MW lower than last year.
