This should be the standard for Eskom but we all know because it is election time. But it does prove that when no sabotage is involved, Eskom can actually do a decent job. Except this will only last until the 29th of May and probably a week after to make it not so obvious to the "average voter".

It's amazing what a little political will can do.
 
A landmark agreement has been signed for a R9 billion innovative nuclear reactor in South Africa. In this conversation with BizNews, the partners to that agreement Stephen Edkins and Warren La Fleur of Koya Capital and Dr. Kelvin Kemm of Stratek Global, share the details and provide a timeline. The First of a Kind (FOAK) Small Modular Reactor (SMR) will have the capacity to generate 100MW of heat and 35MW of electricity. It is expected to break ground before the end of the year. Apart from the South African market, there's been “a lot of interest” in the venture, not only from African countries, but from countries like Australia, Canada, Indonesia, and the Middle East.

How are they stopping the sabotage for elections? They didn't for the last election or even at the state of the nation. Sabotage can't be that significant at all levels it would be isolated to specific stations and for monetary gain so it would never stop until they are caught.

All those sabotage has stopped because of the elections stories are simply because people cannot find it in them to just give credit where it's due, so it's much better to come up with some conspiracy.

Could be bribes, could be political leverage in this challenging-for-them election. Who knows, but they're certainly capable of that.

As for the magically-negating-attempt "conspiracy" word some are uttering again, yep they are always conspiring. And we always point that out, not just now.

National/provincial elections much more important for the ANC than the municipal elections. This is the most challenging election for the ANC since 1994. Do not underestimate would they will do to remain in power.

Nuclear doesn't actually boom, it meltsdown :-), plus this would be a small unit and it would be completely brand new design.
