Seconds**, it's not even funny anymore. Power came back just after 2100, going off again now at 2200. I don't know how people can live like this much longer. It's not even an inconvenience thing anymore, since the issues started a couple of weeks ago, crime is out of control. 6 instances of horrific contact crime and we are in a very wealthy area where we have 2 dedicated patrol vehicles (4 from next month). I now have an armed guard patrolling my property 24/7, and I sit in my office (it overlooks the front of my property) during the night loadshedding slots, watching YouTube or twitch, with my shotgun on the desk and the family upstairs behind a vault door. I'll eventually go to bed when power comes back.
 
In fact someone just posted on the group that they have an intruder on their property, it's ****ing out of control

It was me had a wall jumper at 2:45pm which was half way into a 4 hour period....

We have seen a massive attempt of wall jumpers and stealing of like stuff in gardens early hours of the morning when its loadshedding... People even stealing solar lights

Yeah we have also seen a large uptick of "petty crime" like that too. Tools, small solar lights, piping from outdoor geysers, bicycles, etc

New weird behaviour in our part of Jo'burg last night.

After doing 8pm to midnight, next one was 4am to 5am but they did 2am to 5am.

It could simply be that sometimes they catch up more of the sabotage.
But getting spares all the time has to be a problem, and the figures still don't add up right all too often, so who knows

Eskom and Power Alert figures don't always agree so who knows which is right. I tend to see Power Alert as more pessimistic though, as some forumites have excitedly projected stages 8, 9, 10 multiple times based on PW figures - even after the 12pm update.

Those are those that don't know how to read it, to understand it. I've been tracking for nigh on 3 years now

I certainly don't know how, I mean what has pessimism got to do with what should be accurate / sensible computer-delivered info?

I suppose ANC emotions-of-the-day have to be added (seriously believe it)

BTW, Jo'burg predicted to be nice from lunchtime - stage 2 could survive?

Yeah that never makes sense, as none of the numbers add up
