That's my point, there are around 14 diesel ocgt, most days we are using some of the kerosene units. More money for diesel != more power, unless they are straight up pouring it into ANC pockets at this point

Your missing a factor : time. They don't run 24x7, they only run at peak so more diesel is more time in use

Not consistent. It may run but fuel use would depend on load and those graphs don't show constant use even though it is more time than I would expect.

Thats a ticking time bomb that one. They aren't designed to run 24/7.

Yeah, they're running them from 5am to 11pm, sometimes 1am. That R30 billion is not going to cut it if they carry on with this strategy.

Do you guys remember the experts fact finding mission, I think last year, when govt. was told Eskom basically can't completely catch up maintenance?

Some of us predicted they might well cheat to get that done. Isn't that why we're on a too-constant (and too often the figures say false) stage 6. And elections are coming, they need to look like they've solved this.

Now somebody tell me how honest they all are....

Elections are a year away. They will never maintain stage 6 for that long like stage 6 is a good thing anyway, I mean come on, we have a naked guy running around a statue already, this is just the beginning.

Saw on the news this morning they are... "protesting"... in a few places today in gauteng

Agreed, they'll mess up badly. I think we're meant to see S4 after winter.
Something has to explain all the manipulating and weirdness
