Look at that data, I see that renewable only provide at best 3/4GW when the sun is up. I assume there'll be more in the summer months. I wonder if that's all they can provide or that there are still limits on what they're allowed to put in.View attachment 1525977Station build-up for the last 7 days - Eskom Data Portal
This shows how resources were used to build-up the demand over the past 7 days, and it includes both generation and demand side resources that Eskom has contracts with.www.eskom.co.za

This still seems to support my points, higher demand on a Sunday night then a Saturday?
Additional draw on the grid, the spike post LS is getting bigger than it used to beCould be the reason? It is one of the reasons, but the biggest is all the other things like geysers and fridges. Things that are used to being able to run all day, now being off 4 to 6 hours a day coming back online. Also lower stages you have up to 10 blocks countrywide coming on, as it seems most muncipalities are on this whole even hour thing, with very few on the odd hours.
Apparently NC grid is maxed out because Gweezy won't do his job.Look at that data, I see that renewable only provide at best 3/4GW when the sun is up. I assume there'll be more in the summer months. Still very little being provided by renewables at this stage. I thought we'd be at 8000 or more.
Lets hope soCoal looking better, lets hope it holds.
Yeah possibly, but it is driving up demandSaving pumped storage for monday?
It will be, as you're also putting more people out at the same time.Additional draw on the grid, the spike post LS is getting bigger than it used to be
still better than more LS on monday.Yeah possibly, but it is driving up demand
