Hourly demand is compared against available capacity, to indicate the amount of surplus/shortfall there was. Available capacity must be matched with the total RSA contracted demand.

Look at that data, I see that renewable only provide at best 3/4GW when the sun is up. I assume there'll be more in the summer months. I wonder if that's all they can provide or that there are still limits on what they're allowed to put in.

Still very little being provided by renewables at this stage. I thought we'd be at 8000 or more.

Could be the reason? It is one of the reasons, but the biggest is all the other things like geysers and fridges. Things that are used to being able to run all day, now being off 4 to 6 hours a day coming back online. Also lower stages you have up to 10 blocks countrywide coming on, as it seems most muncipalities are on this whole even hour thing, with very few on the odd hours.

It will be, as you're also putting more people out at the same time.
Stage 1 is 10 areas so stage 6 is 60 areas, now those all come up roughly the same time

Was actually for 3 hours over 20GW starting at 4pm and going till 7pm, in fact it was 20GW from 7am to 10am.

It's all the intelligence reports and police files they are burning, stuff is like NOS for those plants :ROFL:
