I paid like 3k back in 2020, came with the PI and the cables to connect to the Pylontech batteries so I can read the BMS from them for accurate battery data, as the inverter can only determine battery SOC based on voltage which is not great.

Thinking of springing for it for mine, as it's about 5k with a pi
In the end I have a lot of info on Home Assistant and can control the inverter from HA.

What BMS info does it show? Can you change settings like balancing etc?
I'd definitely recommend it - but I hear SolarAssist is also just as good if not better? It was not around when I got ICC, and since I have ICC I have not changed it as it does all I need.
You don't need to touch that; the BMS is very good at doing it.

Nah, it's been like that for years. It's only above 80c it gets a little unhappy - but have not had that issue in 3 years.
Alarm is at 85c IIRC. Have not had that yet.
To add; it's only when charging batteries it gets above 70c or loads are high for long periods.

Probably. It has fans, it sits in the garage I don't hear it. When it blows up I'll replace it with a nice Sunsynk. This inverter was only 10k when I bought it and I figured if I got two years out of it, then great. Going on year three now.

Yea that's not happening with the automatic nature of inverters. Do you even get some sort of current delay to be installed in a DB?
