Since LS I learnt many people sleep with the fan on and the fans are not LS proof and are the first to break

Mine has worn out or something, needs full speed and sometimes a push to get going so can't leave it on.

Both are technically the same, they are water displacers so great for things that rust and such. For a fan look for a silicon lubricant spray
