We already have 18000MW installed sitting waiting. Just fix 1/3rd of it and ta da, no load shedding, no need to procure anything, or install anything, or force anything, just fix it.

That is exactly what Adr was hired to do, bring online 4000MW he failed and put us back another 2000MW

What you mean other 1k? We have 18k in break downs. That 3x stage 6's. There is no need to procure anything, or 'aggressive against demand', just fix a third of the breakdowns and problem solved

Meant the "by December extra 4000 bla bla" part

Maybe they should i don't know... cut off municipalities that aren't paying?
Won't help much, unless said muncipalities have big industries in them. Remember they are currently cutting off the people who only use 30% of the total power, the pool is small. Big industry uses most of the power and it is barely effected.

Problem is - the people in those municipalities may be paying their 'leccy bills faithfully, but the cadres in charge of said muni used the money For Other Things Like Extra Large KFC Bukkits And Flashy Cars, while not paying Eskom a single cent.

Who's at fault here? And must the ratespayer be punished for something that is not his/her fault at all?

So Jo'burg industry is the culprit, when there's mist?

Bwahaha yeah :-). Though actually I have noticed a lot more smog lately, wonder if more people are now using fires and such for warming and cooking.

Let me tell you a story...

My one chick friend lives in a small dorpie North of Pretoria... that dorpie someone needs to go flip a switch for loadshedding... They found out who that boetie is... and threatened to hurt him...

That dorpie doesn't have loadshedding from 6pm at night since... same **** would happen and the municipality would pay back da money

Most of JHB still has someone go out and flip a switch... I was told I was lying, but even City Power sent out a statement saying 75% of JHB is still manual at the moment.

Trust me, even the automated ones are being flipped manually... it's a ****ing joke of a system they have

Happiness.

Almost done with my installation. One set of panels connected. Second string getting connected next week. Even one string should be more than enough to carry my house load during the day (and today is very overcast)

Now this begs the question, since I don't have prepaid and confirmed I have a spinning disk meter, should I feed back?

Hell yeah, just don't feed back more than you use. I would give them 100 units per month to cover maintenance.
