My neighbours generater goes off as well

According to a media report, I read a few days ago, JHB has a regulation saying generators can only be on between 7 am-10 pm (guessing that is for residential purposes). Unfortunately, CoCT doesn't have anything like that and our very elderly neighbours have it on at all hours, except for between midnight and 5 am. It's so bloody loud...but apparently, the diesel costs are becoming exorbitant so they are getting a battery + inverter system installed next month. Happy days.

We've been lucky, one gennie quite far away on occasion and nothing else. They've got units across the road for business use but we don't hear them.
