Weekends... think it may depend on public reaction if they can get away with it. But I suspect it's longer term more about saving diesel than maintenance, more money for them then.

Yup looks like on weekends we will actually get harsher shedding, instead of better.

What do you mean? It looks like the juggling is going ok. Minimal loadshedding during working hours brings some relieve to smaller and medium businesses.

Less diesel = fewer price hikes, especially in small businesses. I was actually shocked. The other day, the salon that cuts my hair went up by R 50 overnight, simply because they had to invest in a generator and constantly buy diesel when loadshedding happens over working hours. They still need to dry customer's hair and whatever else.

Props to whoever needs to plan everything at Eskom to balance expenditure, public sentiment and economic impact.

That's all good, although not how they got there - by lying and cheating and destroying much of the economy for months first.

No, what I mean is that they still don't have near the amount of success they're pretending to have, behaviour at the facilities is still wildly out of control. Illegal political power seems to have put the breaks on with that, but those types of people don't just have an off-switch.
 
So it looks like I just don't get loadshed fully on the one, out of two, blocks I have during the week.
Again, Monday 22:00-00:00 block.
Last time I went off for the first 20 minutes and everything was back. Yesterday I went off for the first hour and then everything was back.

My Saturday 10pm slot ended 30 minutes early also at 11:30pm.
 
You guys are lucky, generally if we get hit, we take the full time, I mean Sunday morning was 8am to 10am, we had the full one.

Thats different as loadshitting was ending for the country at mid night, the just ended a little early it would seem.
 
Load shedding will be back.
