Looks like they suspended shedding till 5 or something, as my power was supposed to be off from 4 to 6 but it went off at 5.

Lovely planned maintenance on the sub station by me from 8am to 4pm on Wednesday, first it was going to be one of the rare days where I somehow missed most LS but the evening one. It's like really, also why during the week?

No overtime? Need to do it when there is no shitting?

They normally do it on weekends when people aren't trying to work from home, also honestly they had no idea if there was going to be shitting or not as it was apparently planned from the 30th June, but they only send the warning on the 16th and today.

So must be an overtime thing then. Chase them away and tell them to come back on Saturday.

I guess you can't stop them from dragging their feet to get a little overtime then once the job has started.
Yeah who knows, but yeah 8am to freaking 4pm, then shedding at 8pm. Hopefully it does come back at 4pm or thereabouts, I need to drain Eskom as much as possible on the higher stages

Not using OCGTs to reduce loadshitting, pumping water back during the day, look what snowing in JHB does to pumped storage:

The graph makes me chuckle a bit. MLR nice and low and then suddenly huge swaths of that horrid beige

Well they planned around the LS maybe as they cannot work on it when the power is off.
Or its (most likely) blind luck.

(CDW substation , right?)
