I mean is it still? We've lost almost 4GW since Monday night
Hope I dont sound like that reject Brian, but the long weekend is coming up and it is a big rugby weekend, staggered LS till the weekend maybe with no LS from Friday afternoon

I see suspended for the day again, only decided after we've all retired for the night, again.

Not good enough ANC, you're supposed to be stable now.... that includes announcements, mkay?

Yeah saw so, also the unplanned is still only 13500 but the available is much lower, meaning they shifted more into planned

Eskom's data releases remind me of the confidence tricksters doing 3 shell games, continually moving the target around so that bystanders are kept guessing:
A typical cups and balls routine includes many of the most fundamental effects of magic: the balls can vanish, appear, transpose, reappear and transform. Basic skills, such as misdirection, manual dexterity, sleight of hand, and audience management are also essential to most cups and balls routines.

So from what I can see from the update, they have indeed put more into planned, slight increase in unplanned but a those 2 together only add up to over 16GW, so something else happened that we lost almost 4GW of generation.
Because even the supply side shows a 1GW drop from Monday to Tuesday night.

Doing some calculations last week we were basically 20GW out from planned and unplanned combined, this week so far we're 16GW combined, so there has been a 4GW increase. But there hasn't been a week where we've not been over 30% unplanned, hopefully this week it will remain as such.

Kusile Power Station, is designed to run at 4800 megawatts, however chances are it will never be able to run all its generators at peak capacity. They have the same design flaw as Matimba Power Station. It cannot keep all its units cool in summer. I suspect that Kusile will never see full capacity

Coal power stations hardly ever see peak capacity, most will be 80% anyway, the closet power source that comes close to it's nameplate is nuclear at 90%, solar is 20 to 30% and wind is 25 to 30%

So.. remain on 0/2 or 1/2 for Sat/Sun?
1/3 next week?

Chris Yelland reckons Kusile will only run at 550MW per unit (source)
