Sounds like a lot of PT to keep these bat. / solar systems going properly, and some intense planning before.

Yup it's a nightmare, look out window hmm it's cloudy, lets set more grid charge today, 2 minutes work :-).
Much better to sit in the dark twiddling my thumbs.

Okay.. sounds like you've got it practically studied and simplified. Some of these guys take the science to the nth degree, endlessly fiddling.

Generally I think we just leave it and let it do it's thing, in the beginning we fiddle and go hmm let me try this, let me try that.
Now I'm like hey I'm currently got my entire house powered, it's 1 hour 45 minutes into shedding and I didn't even realise until I went and walked passed the meter and it's not flicking at me.

You only have to fiddle as much as you wanna

I did start with that, but ended with

Then stopped fiddling, but now I have better quality of life... and an automated house that I can access from anywhere, out of the deal....

Edit: OK I lied, sometimes when bored I do fiddle some more but only cause I wanna :D
Next project is to hook up Robot vacuum to HassIO.

:giggle: That's where I was going - too many other intense things here, so I'll stick to candles and an occasional car bat. use.

But then again, there's no kids or wife here ;-)

Yeah, no...

Mrs was like you, back when we use to have a generator she was happy with a book during LS, now she is the 1st one to ask if batteries are charged. :D
