Been back since the 26th, so it was technically fixed on the 16th or so, as it takes about ten days to sync back up.
Last time you saw the slowly increasing supply onto the grid (over days) when it was syncing back up, this time not so much (a few hours).

I thought it was getting better...we have missed a couple of sessions during the 3x session days this week...

Mydorpie.com;

UPDATE: Stage 4 will continue until 5am on Saturday, followed by stage 3 until 5am on Monday. Updates will follow on Sunday.

For those in Jo'burg, City Power seems to have screwed up the cycling - only 2 days on the current one and then straight on to the next "2 hours earlier" cycle tomorrow.

Mydorpie are finally confirming but who knows..

You will get that sadly, there are 30 to 31 days in a month, which would give 7.5 to 7.75 rotations of the schedule, not exactly easy to do, so around the 1st and 2nd we should see that issue, normally the 31st would be the 3rd day of the 29th,30 and 31st buffer, but on months with 30 you'll get it.
Don't think they expected load shedding to be running for an entire month

As you've touched on it's not just with a very long LS period, it seems more related to end of month. No reason why they can't work with longer periods than a month at a time.. except that maybe, like too much else in this country, they don't give a hoot.

Yesterday was fun on their website - some areas checked were showing about a dozen LS periods per day, and it sometimes got stuck on its own selection of stage 1 and stage 4 at the same time.

It is month end.
Remember February has 28 days so won't have this problem, but other months will as the 29th through to the 31st will normally have the same schedule to even out the rotations.
The schedule doesn't change, if you had no power on the 15th of June, you'll not have power on the 15th of whenever.

I'll take your word for it, but haven't noticed it myself when we've had LS over a month-end before. I guess that is a fair system long term.

Thing is it had Mydorpie freeze any further info for about a week now for some reason, why it caught my attention.
Edit: Their original info for the 1st of Oct. was in contradiction of what you've explained, so now presuming City Power somehow did get confused or a coding bug.

Looks as though they're doing the plan of constant state of load shedding for an extended period of time.
I'm convinced as well.
I mean, all those winter repairs and quite some stability compared - doesn't add up to this follow-up summer nonsense, especially how extensive and how long its been.

flip-flopping like the EFF now
Fiction to back up the lie? How after all this time can they allow themselves to still run out of diesel... BS IMO

What was the original info? It should be moving to the next cycle tomorrow, if tomorrow was the 31st it would be the same as today, but it's due to the month end
