That one was actually, it was one of the others that wasn't. What's scary is last year we didn't have those 3 Kusile units and we did better, this year we had more Kusile online for a bit and still had issues. Eskom really is a joke.

It was under "maintenance" when it exploded, and was because of the "maintenance" why it exploded.
 
Anything under stage 4 is like xmas to us guys in durban. :ROFL:
Joburg is just casually in like stage 10 so dropping to stage 4 is moot. Every loadshedding slot is now 6 to 12+ hours. Yesterday we were scheduled for 1200 to 1600, only came back 1830 and then 2000 to 2200 and only restored this morning at 0600... Been weeks of this now

Stage 4 is not xmas for us durbanites, stage 3 is.

Will be interesting to see peak demand today - I suspect even with Eskom's mediocre baseload capacity, we shouldn't be on Stage 4. Probably Stage 2 in years gone by.

The way our area keeps stealing up to an hour here and there, I'm thinking it's worse than they're saying right now.
