We'll break the mythical stage 6 barrier...
I wouldn't be surprised if they're considering redefining the load shedding stages. Right now each stage equals 1000w that needs to be reduced. But if they were to switch each stage to 1500mw or 2000mw we'd be able to go deeper and deeper into load shedding without passing that stage 6 barrier. Most people probably wouldn't even realize that they're sitting at home without electricity for 16 hours vs 10 hours.

That’s plausible

Yeah unfortunately extremely plausible, especially knowing how this government moves the goal posts to suit their spin

Absolutely. They do it in elections as well with “re-zoning” to fluff the numbers. But that only worked for so long.

On a normal Saturday. We have still have a lot of industries running.
Yes and we will now cause of load shedding and people trying to close things, if possible. This year doesn't seem like industries are closing off like last time

Saboteurs aren't going to be deterred by soldiers who have no idea how a power station works. They wouldn't know an act of sabotage from regular work.
This.
A generator can be easily taken offline, even with Mr Solider standing there and being none the wiser.
What is this for? Oh I know.. to avoid the proletariat from getting really MAD and burning the national key points down.

Shouldn't the police be called in for this? We are getting the army involved more and more on local soil.

Oh look, Eskom burning tons of diesel the entire day yesterday despite the stage 6 load shedding and reduced demand due to the holiday and business and industries closing. I'm guessing that we'll skate through festive season at varying stages between 3-6 but what's going to happen in January when demand increases again?
I think they have just realised that they have a bottomless supply of diesel.

Mainstream media required to be useful, not serve their masters? Okay

So are we in for yet another unexplained about-turn this Sunday too?
