Which one?
BTW they have now officially confirmed the shedding is due to the debt to Eskom to the tune of 543 million.
As per local chber of commerce, apparently the municipality collected some 900million just the other day, but did not pay over a penny of that.
Ok, but that **** storm white elephant was only running at half capacity anyway due to the brilliant design, so 3 units of 800MW were only running at 400MW anyway, so 400MW x 3 is 1200MW.![]()

Apartheid government would have just paid the bill as it was heavily subsidised back then because they knew it would create an economy.Didn't consider that to be the reason.
Now that I believe. That is an insane schedule.
And its an easy way to punish the comrades and refirm their thinking. Chairman Mao is smiling from his graveQuite a lot, if we had Octgs we could actually have had no load shedding, but apparently load shedding is cheaper then diese

I'm surprised that business hasn't already moved to durban seeing we (durban) are immune below stage 4.Didn't realize there were so many on the forum from PMB. Load reduction plus stage 4 load shedding means we're going to have no electricity for 12 hours a day "until further notice". To say I'm p*ssed would be an understatement.
Here is the schedule for anyone who doesn't have it yet, the block you fall under depends on the feeder station you get power from:

Also the response from the municipality on their Facebook page about Chris Pappas' announcement earlier is actually infuriating, I wouldn't have even known what was going on until now if he didn't make an announcement.

I just hope they sort it out soon because I don't think the city's infrastructure can last more than a week like this.
Sounds like a normal day in JHB lol. You are basically guaranteed a 14 to 20-hour session of loadshedding when you go off for the first slot after the restoration from the last 14 to 20-hour session. The infrastructure fell apart weeks ago...Didn't realize there were so many on the forum from PMB. Prob all the companies playing catchup to close their delivery contracts and then cut their losses and shut down forever.
Wonder why the demand is so high still

That's insane. My batteries won't be able to fully charge with that schedule. (On a 10 amp charge setting).Didn't realize there were so many on the forum from PMB. UNANNOUNCED LOAD REDUCTION BY ESKOM
Good Evening Residents,
Eskom implemented load reduction without warning.
Apparently the load is very high at the moment. Eskom has implemented load-reduction in a lot of areas.
Load reduction can last anywhere between 5 and 8 hours.
This is really something beyond our control.
As soon as there is more information and clarification from Eskom, it will be communicated to you.

If you're in PMB read aboveYeah, something big seems to have gone for a ball of **** and we aren't being told about it.
Just came out of a 10 hour load-reduction-shedding session, only feedback:
So we went:
8pm-10pm load shedding
10pm-4am load reduction
4am-6am load shedding
This is after our 2 hour loadshedding slot yesterday became a 4 hour slot.
Effectively in the last 24-hours my area has had power 8 hours.
Nah, I'm in Alberton. If you're in PMB read above
Oh wow that sucksNah, I'm in Alberton.
Is everybody getting hit, or just the people behind on payments?Seems Eskom is aggressively load reducing to avoid higher stages of load shedding.
