I understand the theory liquid gas is cold and would show up on temp activated colour.

How is it cold? LPG is liquid under pressure.

For the 48kg cylinders I pour hot water down the side and feel where the cylinder is still cold, thats where the liquid gas level is

But those pressure gauges look much easier!

Although they could also scrape around and buy some more. There's too much political pressure on Eskom to be on Stage 6 or higher so they will literally do anything to avoid it. But yeah, it will be a bumpy ride up until the end of March.

Exactly, when you open the tap, the "gas" use energy to undergo a phase shift. It gets that energy from liquids in the bottle.

Go google phase transitions if you really wanna know the ins and outs....

Going to be interesting if certain groups (solidarity etc) pool their resources and build a successful power station, which will perform brilliantly out of the box unlike Medupi and Kusile.

Still don't think that'll happen. They want to build a PBMR reactor. They cost billions and aren't even out of R&D.
