Think a bit on this :

What if... Let's assume it happens, and diesel fuel and diesel products is in demand, but there is not enough, and there is an actual diesel and diesel product shortage...

Eskom will no longer be able to provide electricity, as coal supplies will be impacted, leading to coal mining getting more and more loadshed.

This will also have an impact on the cold chain getting broken.

But also on the deliveries of food from farms to markets, and from markets to shops etc.

As well as the chemical industry not being able to produce critical chemicals for fuel/diesel/oil etc, leading to more shortages.

Steam trains should save the day - but most of the railway infra have been vandalized or stolen, so no go there. And steam trains also make use of coal (bada-bum tish) and grease.

Cities will turn into hell-holes as the masses will have no food, electricity.

Communications? A big nope, as Eskom will be too busy loadshedding the country.

Water will become a precious commodity as the ability to pump water from reservoirs and dams to certain areas will no longer be possible due to electricity.

And you can be sure that the electrical reticulation will be vandalized, exacerbating the problem.

The pumping of fuel from Durban to Gauteng will also be impacted, leading to fuel shortages in Gauteng, causing more problems.

So, once a country is down that hole, with no electricity, water, coal, diesel etc, how the hell do you bootstrap a country?

There we go, it's improved for today, still a bit high around
