Agreed, we need to accept that this is the new norm - have to get our heads around the fact that we will most likely have loadshedding for (hopefully) one week a month for the next few years (hopefully).

We will adapt to the new norm and work around it.

Problem is, the number of people leaving SA (shrinking our skill and tax base) which is what worries me.

My hope is that, when faced with disaster, we are often pushed to find solutions

Future loadshedding schedules:

Power for Gauteng - Mon/Wed/Sun
Power for Natal - Tues/Fri/Sat
Power for NW - Mon/Tue

Etc

If it's like today it's fine. Getting around 1.8 kW when the sun isn't shining. The problem is when it rains, that blocks out most of the light...

The Axpert doesn't have that function, it would see it as utility not gennie, I'd have to limit it there, which technically it already is.

Have 3 aircons running, pool pump running, boiling the kettle and the battery is also charging.
2pm when the loadshedding slot is done, the geyser will turn on and still mostly run off solar.

If they under warranty they from brick and mortor store they sometimes replace them. Have good success with battery centre before
