If it stays at stage 2 my schedule is looking pretty good for the rest of the week but what are the chances of that especially with all this rain :(

We’ve been running on CityPower since yesterday with all this rain forecast, 31mm this morning in Parkhurst and more forecast.
I was on City Power till 6pm when I went stuff it and switched to batteries for the night, but I switched back to Eskom now, probably end up remaining on it the rest of the day.

Same here.I've just kept the batteries charged up and running on grid.

Not that it matters too much; in the last 8 weeks; we've been off for a total of 4hrs. That faulty switch at the substation is not fixed. So, the only outages we had, were faults.

You're lucky, I've ended up using 12 units a day now vs the 8 I was before the clouds :-( just to keep the batteries up

I did that the night before but then there wasn't enough PV generation yesterday to charge the batteries and I had to charge using CityPower. So I decided it would be cheaper to just run off CityPower than use the batteries and then charge them using CityPower. We have load shedding from 16:00 - 18:30 again tonight as well that I needed to take in to consideration.

Lucky, we have had normal load shedding as well as unplanned outages in the area due to faults, the LFP's have been the best addition to our little system.

The night before wasn't so bad, cause Sunday I was at 85% so I was like eh will hold. We had load shedding from 2 to 4:30 this morning and I prefer to run off batteries through it and after it, helps the grid I suppose as my stuff isn't coming on at the same time as technically it never knew it was off :-).
But yeah today I've got 10am load shedding but I'll be on my way to Krugersdorp for drivers license renewal.

I normally use between 6 and 8 kWh a day when the weather is good. Little more when it isn't - the gas is saving us a lot on cooking and hot water.

Yeah LFP's are a life saver - no more having to worry about how many times you've discharged them.

Of course, no one in our little area is moaning or mentioning that we don't go off. Will see how long it lasts for. But just in case, I keep the batteries 100% charged when weather is this ****.
