I wonder if they're not starting to use load shedding as a form of debt control now that it's almost normalizedNever seen the demand so low! One has to question whether Stage 1 is even required today...
Thanks for the good newsI hope everyone enjoyed the last load shedding free days and stage 1 we'll ever see.

FTFYI wonder if they're not starting to use load shedding as a form of political control now that it's almost normalized and they failed at it with COVID-19

Having context from another country is a beautiful thing. People are just slowly being boiled hereA mate of mine from Malawi is horrified at the state of SA. He compared it to Moz just after the war. All thats missing are the bullet holes. The ANC has truly wrecked the country.
The average idiot has no idea how fkd it really is.
Yup surprisingly Africa is fixing their power issues, but we're going backwardsHaving context from another country is a beautiful thing. People are just slowly being boiled here
There are kids now whom have grown up here only knowing power cuts. It's the norm. Heck I still have my old man ranting on about how he could fill his Ford for R5 way back when and I'm doing the same with the current petrol price.Yup surprisingly Africa is fixing their power issues, but we're going backwards
Yes if the kids are 4 or 5 years old. There are kids now whom have grown up here only knowing power cuts. It's the norm. Heck I still have my old man ranting on about how he could fill his Ford for R5 way back when and I'm doing the same with the current petrol price.
Ultimately this will take alot of time to fix, if ever. Until then you either acquire a desired skillset/finances and get to a place where there is reliable power *somewhere abroad* or you grit your teeth and get solar

We've not had continuous load shedding for 15 years, in fact after the load shedding in 2008 we didn't see it again until 2015, after that it was 2018.
So yes if the kids are 4 maybe 5 sure, before that it was sporadic
Think there might have been a day thereApparently March 2014
