Until these tools feel the actual effects of load shedding, nothing will change. And even then, it probably won't because their friends who are making money off load shedding will just help them out with "donations".
 
I have to feel bad...

@Lupus - we still don't have any LS in my area. Not since September I think. Just the two or three power outages late last year.

There are a couple of blocks around Gauteng that just aren't turning off anymore. Imagine its due to the cost of replacing all the cables/substations that burn out and blow up every time they come back on. I really wonder how much City Power has spent in my area alone, they have replaced the substation and transformers at least 5 times since August last year.

Areas around me have been down 7 days thanks to LS but no worries from Eskom just switch off

Load shedding I can still handle (I use the word very loosely), but it's the transformers blowing up when it comes back on. Load shedding I can plan for (Bah), but this 10 - 60 hours downtime cause a transformer blew up and they need to go get parts in Pinetown which is only open during office hours blah bah bah. I woke up in the ,middle of the night in a panic as to why the power is down and opening the app to report it, only to see the power is not out, it was a nightmare

Too many chicken littles..

We knew this change was likely coming, why heavy reactions? Just makes it worse for us.
