The 2023 budget is scheduled for Wednesday so they will likely not have another meeting before then.

I dont think there are any more "emergency" reserves they can throw at the problem to stop the creep. 19 OCGT running is pretty max, its not like there is another 1GW lying about >.<

I was joking to the family about making like a Brit and spending the winter somewhere north of the equator... Think I'm gonna to stop joking. I was hoping to be out of the country a couple of weeks into winter, but looking like thats only going to happen next year with processing delays

I think they're trying to avoid stage 7, even. We've never had it as high as that and when we do, you know the beating the ANC will take in the media. So they are trying to avoid that... somehow.

Stage 5 and 6 is enough to cripple a lot of businesses. 7 and 8 starts to affect more areas but frequent stages of 5 and 6 is enough for carnage in the job market
