I'm sure there is instruction to never go to higher levels for perception reasons but that will just make things worse.
In the past they got away with it by not doing maintenance so they likely think it will work again until after the elections but winter usually adds another 5000Mw so even if they pull off a miracle its still going to be rough.

That strategy only works for so long until it doesn’t work anymore and then this is what happens.

We don't have leadership capable of anything else though. Forward planning, comitment and strategizing takes hard work and sacrifice.

We should have had 7 and 8 already

They just ask South32 & friends to take a day or 2 off when that happens.....

Don't forget experience and knowledge (read as education/qualification) which know body ee to have.

10000% this is my thinking as well.

Loadshedding impacts everyone, hell the employee that cleans the coffee machines was complaining to me this morning how she can't live like this... I really believe this is a case of bad thing for now means good thing later...

I really believe the ANC is going to get hammered in the next election - and when you hear people like the employees who clean the coffee machine saying "Cape Town doesn't have it as bad as the rest of the country" ... I believe there is hope.
