The chickens are roosting.Sadly it does, I mean it's been 7 months and we're just not breaking the 26GW mark.
Yup, seems you can't keep running things without maintenance foreverThe chickens are roosting.
That too, for sure. It's just normal incompetence under the veil of sabotage imho. Viva Transformation Viva!!
Ramokgopa warned of a dark and cold winter if Eskom's grid remained constrained, saying that Eskom needed about 66,000 megawatts to bridge the gap between demand and supply.
Journalists.According to EWN we need "66 000 megawatts"....

Actually if that was renewables, 66GW would probably be correct to stave off load shedding, as at most renewables give 30%According to EWN we need "66 000 megawatts"....

Possibly. But I think what was really meant was Eskom needs an additional 6000MW to add to the grid.We need 66GW with the current EAF of 49%. No chance our current 45GW will reach an EAF of 70%...
No chance of getting 66GW either. We need 66GW with the current EAF of 49%. No chance our current 45GW will reach an EAF of 70%...
Quite likely what they have in mind. Renewables are the orders of their masters.Actually if that was renewables, 66GW would probably be correct to stave off load shedding, as at most renewables give 30%
Well we'd need that just to stave off sheddingQuite likely what they have in mind. Renewables are the orders of their masters.
They got de Ruyter off their backAt this point they need to just do something. What has actually changed since in the last year?
Well we'd need that just to stave off sheddingcoal will still be needed to keep the base load running
Already had frost this morning...So over winter already...I hope it’s a record breaking cold winter this year. For the sake of the Country.
They've not managed to convert Ankerlig or Gourikwa to LNG yet, it's been 10 years.Or maybe gas which can be ramped up reasonably quickly to complement other variable sources? Seems like that proposed 3GW plant in Richard's Bay would be useful both to balance any increased contribution from renewables as well as our erratic coal fleet.
NERSA is suing itself with that one.Or maybe gas which can be ramped up reasonably quickly to complement other variable sources? Seems like that proposed 3GW plant in Richard's Bay would be useful both to balance any increased contribution from renewables as well as our erratic coal fleet.
