Will only Linux versions of the games work on these machines?
If so, what about all the games that aren't released with a Linux version?

I'd still rather be inclined to build a rig that can play all versions (read Windows versions).

The 500GB (minimum) is mainly to indicate any additional installations, like games, workshop etc. etc. etc. You can install it on an SSD. IIRC the OS weighs in at 12GB installed, the ISO is 2-3GB.

Take the 500GB as the minimum total required size, they give this spec to recommend a good user experience.

I have now realised what gave you the impression about the disk size.

Default Installation

The above installation restores the entire disk, partition(s), which requires a recommend 1TB minimum HDD/SSD.

Custom Installation
The second method is based on the Debian Installer. It requires additional configuration steps, but works with a smaller disk

This installation is your standard process, it will repartition the drive.

I get that, I'm just trying to understand why anyone would want Linux with fewer game options -unless all new titles will be released with a Linux version. (But then, still what about the other games...? Y'know what I mean?)

So I was just wondering if there was something that allowed for the Windows versions to be played (flawlessly) on these Steam boxes.
