Sorry if this has been covered, but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

I’ve recently moved into a granny flat and wanted to know if a powerline extender would work.

We have our own small switch board but it comes from the main house. See attached pic. Are we still on the same citcuit? Not sure if a powerline extender would work or if this would break the signal?

Thanks!

LMAO.

Yes, it should work... My personal preference would still be to rather just pull in one or two CAT5/6 cables though.

Haha. Thanks beersboertjie for the laugh.

Cool. Thanks savage. Looking at cabling options too. The main router is in a space where it would be tough to run. No ceiling etc. so a lot of admin to make it neat hence the idea of a powerline extender. But may well end up running cable.
