Powerline for dummies

will be here tomorrow, so get to test everything this weekend. Thanks all.

Will be waiting for your full review, also looking at this, the Wifi does not quite reach the lapa and a bad YouTube steam really fkcs up a party.

EoP devices doesn't work through earthleakages, typically lapa's and pool pumps get powered from out buildings or the other side of the EL, so make sure it's under same EL.

This devices works great for 99% of the time, but they fail on the worst times, like when you are on a voip call, or in the middle of a movie.

Things like geyser switching on, or fridge starting, cause issues. I have 5 of these devices, and we installed similar devices at atleast 4 clients with no other options, and all of them has the same issues.

For web browsing and mail, you wouldn't notice, but something where you can't afford packet loss, you'll quickly see the problem.

I did a test for 24h, ive plotted pings to 7 diffrent places, and the EoP devices had on avg 35 drops between 1 and 6 in the morning (low network activity).

Argh! Thanks for saving me. Guess I will then just stick a wifi extender in somewhere and see if that solves the issue. Not in the mood to trade wifi hassles for powerline hassles.
