Pre played games okay?

Lol thanks for all the replies!
New games are quite expensive but I'm not saying I wont buy some new releases, i just want to play some that I missed out on. I do also like brand new games but hey what can you do haha.

Thanks for suggestions!

Wife has decided that I will be getting GTAV for Christmas. She informed me. I wonder who will be playing the most...

Not much selection of games on budget gamer though. After looking at the suggestions, BTGames still is abit cheaper...

Have you guys ever ordered online from them?

It is a brand new site, like a week old :) So please be patient hehe. With your help and suggestions it will become great.

To be honest, BTGames has a terrible online presence. Their site is ancient (still written in vanilla ASP) and I swear they haven't changed anything major in like 10 years. It does work, but only just. I prefer to use the physical stores because I struggle with their payment system.

Lol had no idea it's actually new, that explains it

Yeah true, I rather go into their store and have a look.

And don't forget about Zaps. I believe they are in Durban actually :)

Zaps are actually based in Randburg.

I have a few games from BT games and they are all in good nick. They actually show you the disk, so you can check the quality, and then give you 10 days warranty should they not work.

You can also try CNA's around. The one in Northgate has a specials table, and I found GT5 new for the same price as the BT games preplayed.

Whaaaat? I had it way wrong. Perhaps Moody was from Durban?

I scored Tomb Raider and Alien Isolation for PS4 preplayed at BTGames for R200 a pop. What would be really great is if it was possible to browse their preplayed stock online, and even reserve a copy. Let me ask them :)

Now that I have got some good suggestions, I've been checking some ps3 games that I could get...I like something like action and adventure. I saw Battlefield 4 and Call of duty black ops, deadspace...Anything else I should consider?

God of War III and Ascension, Last of Us, Uncharted (all of them), Red Dead Redemption, Dishonored. I think that should be plenty to start with :D

I got God of War 1-3 as my first serious gaming mission.

Compared to GOW3 the graphics on GOW1 are a little dated but gameplay and storyline are still epic :)

How could I forget God of War! Will get it.

I bought assassins creed black flag (new) last year I think and it wasn't good. The only games I have now is Mortal Kombat and Killzone 3 (not a big fan of it)

GTA V, Final Fantasy X remaster.

DmC and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 are over-the-top action packed as well.

BTW Black Ops 3 on PS3 only has the multiplayer part of the game and doesn't have paint shop customisation.

Vanquish. It's rare as pepe but you should buy the first copy you can find.

Hey did you hear, no more Neptunia Games in the West. The devs of Hyperdimesion Neptunia have had enough of SJW BS. They will probably release HK versions with English subtitles.

I'll choose battlefield over CoD then.

Any other games too look at?
Thanks for the replies so far!

I buy used games at cash crusaders all the time, i picked up The Order for PS4 from them for R300 not long after release.
My PS3 collection is largely used games and i sometimes find some gems that's not available on the PSN store or new in retail anymore.

Example.
Folklore
Ninja Gaiden
Dante's Inferno
Resonance of Fate
Nier
Shadow of the Damned
Heavy Rain
I'm hoping to find Dragon's Crown at some stage

Edit: You have to try Dragon's Dogma.

The problem with Cash Crusaders is that you get offered peanuts when selling your games. I sold about 30 PS3 games to Cash Crusaders and got R50 per game (which then sold for R150+) - I should have rather put it on a site like BudgetGamer/Gumtree or whoever and sold it to R50 to them.
