Baldness is also hereditary from your mother.Just a useless bit of info!!
Yeah DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is the badboy hormone responsible for male pattern baldness. DHT binds to and basically strangles your hair follicles, making your hair thinner.
You can either block the enzyme (5ar) responsible for DHT conversion (with Propecia/Finpecia/Proscar) but these meds can have side effects although they work best and can regrow lost hair or thicken what you have in most men over time. Or you can use Rogain/Minoxidil which dilates the tiny blood vessels feeding your hair follicles to prevent them dying. I started thinning on top and did lots and LOTS of research. What is working for me (grew back/thickened my hair on my crown) is using Minoxidal 5% topical spray after I shower and washing my hair with shampoo that contains the DHT blocker ketoconazol like Kez, Nizoral or Adco dermed. These shampoos do work as Ketoconazol is a strong DHT blocker.
Nisim might work for some but is much more of a gamble than Minoxidil. Clinical studies show Minoxidil 5% increases hair density in over 80% of candidates. Its R140 at Dischem. Not too pricey but you have to keep using it. Hair loss SUCKS but you can do something about it![]()
my hair is just beneath my shoulders now and curls. I'm finding it difficult to control my curls and get that nice bounce without a wash making it look like a ****ing perm. Stupid ****ing curly hair.
Next year I turn 30. Then I'm going skinhead. Will take pics & post
I did say propecia has side effects. The possible libido issues are why I won't take it. Nisim and Minoxidil are totally different products and you would benefit from using both.
Nisim has many vitamins, minerals and herbal extracts that promote healthy hair growth. It has saw palmetto as well which is a 'mild' DHT blocker. I never tried it but my brother has and it didn't work for him. He got better results with hair fantastique and minoxidil. That's the thing with hairloss products. Some ppl have better results with different products.

It just increases the blood to the scalp. Something you can do by rubbing with a towel every day.Yeah DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is the badboy hormone responsible for male pattern baldness. DHT binds to and basically strangles your hair follicles, making your hair thinner.
