Premium uncapped worth it?

Hey guys,

So I need a new ISP now that FNB is ending their free uncapped. I want to know if it is worth paying for a "premium" uncapped account? Like Axxess's premium uncapped 4MB ADSL is R325 and their regular 4MB ADSL is R235.

I don't really play games and I don't stream a lot either. I do use torrents and I use skype a lot. Worth it for me?

Yeah, I have premium with Afrihost. I have pushed 100s of gigs in a month and even the last day of the month torrents still run fine and 1080p youtube is a joke.

You should look at Afrihost pal. Rather go for a capped account and get AfriPlus which doubles your data. You also get midnight data which starts at around 11:30pm to 7:30am. You also get 500MB mobile data and the streaming service Simfy

The free unlimited after hours data is quite attractive on the Afrihost capped packages. I could get a 150GB deal - considering data is free after hours, I'd be unlikely to use all of it.

Oh wait - Axxess also includes free after hours data, although only from 12PM to 6AM, whereas Afrihost gives free data from 11:30PM to 7:30AM. Axxess is R10 cheaper per month.

I have Axxess with my ADSL and haven't had one problem with them on their capped account and highly recommend them.

I also have backup 3g with Afrihost and other then a few funny support issues they have also been great.

For R100 you can double your data on Afrihost so the 100gig account = R199 plus R100 = 200 gigs of data for R299, if you were to get the 200 gig package it would be R399. So you can save R100 there.

It would take a lot for me to more away from Axxess because of the internet experience they have given me but you could save some money going to Afrihost.

Oh flip, on having a closer look at Afrihost plus it looks pretty good!

I can get 200GB of data plus 500mb of mobile data for R299 - I think we have a winner.
