Prepaid and out of bundle data [Resolved]

I am trying to test VC 4U speeds before actually going out an buying a bundle but my phone (Nokia 6233) keeps saying "Subscribe to packet data first". It seems like all of the systems want me to buy a bundle proper. Is there any other way to activate GPRS on a 4U without a bundle? I have tried *111#, calling 100, calling 082111 and SMS'ing "mymeg 0" to 100.

Some SIM cards are still available for sale that are not data enabled! Almost every other handset has data facilities but SIM cards still get sold with data inactive!

Register at www.voacom4me.co.za and go to Services then setup data etc.

I've made the assumption that you have Vodacom settings installed and activated on your handset...

Without a data bundle you can still access 3G at the far from inexpensive rate of R2 per mega-byte!

I already registered there. I did not see it before but found it under "My Account", Services but when I click Submit on the Activate GPRS option I get "We are currently experiencing problems servicing your request.". Help.
