Prepaid Bundles changed

Looks like the bundles changed since I last use 8ta/telkom mobile.

I got a micro sim now. Its on 8ta more prepaid so it can roam mtn but switches to 8ta when in 8ta coverage.

I notice they have diffirent bundle prices. when I dialed *180# I noticed I am able to but both 8ta only bundles and all bundles.


Looks like they finally implemented this. Looks like you are able to buy the 8ta only bundles and it will be usage when you are on the 8ta network but when you roam you will use your airtime or all bundle.

They also included the 2+1GB and 60+60GB bundle....... That mean you no longer have to have the sim "forced" non roaming to have the bundles which makes it GREAT for everyday usage in a smartphone.... :D:D:D:D

The bundles are slightly cheaper than cellc but the out of bundle rate is higher @ R1 but that just means you need to buy another bundle if you finish it.

Interesting development. Question is what happen with existing non-roaming SIM's; will be able to roam from now?

I do not worry about OOB rates as long as service is interrupted and user is redirected to 8ta Web site and have the choice.

Update: 8ta onnet.com shows the following:

Once-off Telkom Mobile Night Surfer Data Sun Mar 31 2013 43 MB

This is on my non-roaming SIM and 2+1 bundle. It seems that the 2Gigs is from now for use on all networks!

Its very interesting. I am going to try it out soon to see if it works. :)

What I heard many time is that once you are non roaming it can't be changed back. You might be able to create a query for the to forward to the thecnical team to see what they can do for you.

EDIT: Recharching with R50 now also gave me a extra 2GB of wifi access
