Prepaid Neotel?

Apparently it happens when the bandwidth monitoring goes live ... IMMANENT !!!

Don't give excpectations to customers.

Prepaid is launching later than the bandwith monitor currently.

Hugo. I'm having a last go at the serive :)

Would be great to hear when it is happening. Was originaly pissed to hear that I could do nothing with my Neotel Prime device when my Neotel service stops in 4 weeks and then I remembered my Dad is going to need a temp phone later this year. This is where Neotel makes sense. While my move back to Telkom is due to the fact that my Neotel service is too unreliable to work from home on our servers, I still maintain that the voice offering is really good - especially the per second billing.

But in all fairness, the linked article did give me the illusion that the service would be available really soon.

Hugo you telling cbrunsdonza not to give excpectations to customers but your CEO is telling us Prepaid should be here by this week
You just shot yourself in the foot!

With the last update we received, Prepaid isn't launching yet, update received was beginning June. This was the last information update i heard.

Not a go at you, but Neotel is really starting to fail the consumer. I was under the impression that prepaid would already be available. Such a pity as a prepaid Neotel offering would really help.

Hugo nice of you to pass that update onto us. Will you let us know evertime you get an update

Sure.
What i understand by it thus far, current contract users won't be able to move across to prepaid until their contract runs out. This is what i've heard, but closer to June's release (last update) i'll be able to give a little more insight.
I understand it's not a direct attack on myself, however i do represent my organisation, so when you say Neotel, i am a part of it and responsible for assisting and informing from the companies side.

Thanks

Hugo

Hugo can you tell us around when in June is this most likely to happen?
What about the devise, any price indications?

Correct. But only at the end of your contract term.

But my Neotel contract has been canceled and runs till the end of the month. Do you know if I will still be able to use prepaid on the device? Reason why I'm asking is that later this year my dad might need a telephone for a few months when he moves back to Cape Town and prepaid Neotel seems the best option for him.

Shouldn't be a problem. Just don't sell it, use as doorstop or throw away till you want to link it then.

Well, I paid R1499 upfront for my Neogo. Will see what the prepaid offer looks like & convert if it is in any way better than what I'm paying now.

Thanks, that is why I asked before I give it to my rugrat to play with (like my old Telkom phone and trying to yank that back from him was mission impossible).

Personally I hope Neotel expands big on their prepaid as it has its advantages.

Hugo do you have any updates for us? Mayby giving us an estimate of when around June this will happen?
Not asking for exact dates.

When is this happening?

rph72, the last time i gave an indication you were one of the first to jump to conclusion and bind us to the indication date, so hence I will not post on expected release times based on this.
So watch for press releases and forums for the news.
