Pre-paid will be launched the day the usage tool is able to be downloaded...keep your caps ready

LOL that usage tool was "almost ready" when I 1st signed up almost a year ago, dont get your hopes up high.......Neotel is not exactly a company you can trust .....

11 Weeks since this article on Techcentral and still nothing.
Telecommunications operator Neotel will launch its first prepaid services in the next four to six weeks as it attempts to lift its market share among retail consumers.

It is to be expected from Neotel.

Is 1st August the OFFICIAL launch date or is it sometime in August?

So pre-paid is here....

Any details are to how we going get onto the bandwagon?

  • R600 for that lowcost device ?

Can i cancel my prime contract this month and switch to prepaid keeping the current number? Anyone knows? ...btw. for 3 weeks now networks are completely overloaded during the day! Neotel has become useless for work purposes!

MIGRATION TO AND FROM PRE-PAID SERVICES

Hi Hugo:

I just downloaded the PDF - Consumer Terms and Conditions SEPT P v1 just now and read all of it. I have some questions not answered in the T&C's and also arising from the T&C's. Wonder if you can answer them?

My post-paid contract is in termination phase, so when answering, please assume I own a Dupont BC2703, which previously worked on the post-paid network (Prime 5G).

Q1. From the T&C's: "e. MIGRATION TO AND FROM PRE-PAID SERVICES i. Migration rules between pre and postpaid accounts will be made available at a later stage."

I understand pre-paid is now on the market. Why does the T&C not know about this? What is the process of migration for someone like me (user with existing device)?

Q2. Since this product uses the same terminology as cellphone companies, to what degree is the term 'airtime' equivalent? Is there an airtime window from when a phone is charged/re-charged with funds?

Many thanks.

My same query to Customer Service was answered that no, you cannot keep your number when you switch to Pre-paid!

Wouldn't want to make the process easy for us, would they!

Look at this if your handset gets stolen you can block the stolen phone replace your handset and keep your current number why is it so hard to transfer a contract to prepaid or vice versa?

Yea got the same answer. Not even "Prime99" they are willing to give, although only 3 month left on the contract and they'd be welcome to put additional 3month device charges on the subscription! On top of that, they didn't accept any contract changes for December, saying these should have been made before the 15th. Crap that (!!!), especially since in the past I did make changes on much later stages throughout a month. Where in the T&C is this defined anyway?

Well... Neotel you're the one to loose out!!!! I was willing to keep Neotel for Voice purposes, but now will cancel contract in full..! Looking forward to receive my deposit back!
