Preparation for hiking the Otter Trail

Hey All.

I've hiked the Otter Trail 4 times (over the past 4 years) and I'm booked again for next year. The trail is just too amazing. I've finally decided to prepare a guide to hiking it if anyone is interested (using input and media from my friends who have been on the trip with me over the years).

I used to think that hiking with a backpack for a number of days is one of the activities in the world I'd like least. After looking at those bunk beds I don't think that anymore, I know

Very nice guide though, thanks for sharing. Maybe I'll do a one night hike sometime and use some of your packing advise. Otter trail area is stunning, must be a great experience.

Did it once. The second day hiking up and up and up and up I nearly died. But great experience.

Excellent, booked for February next year. Done.it many years ago, so this will be helpful in remembering the pain (and pleasure)

Sigh. I walked the Otter, Tsitsikamma, and Outeniqua - more than 20 years ago.
I'd love to do it again.
At the moment I'm tired if I walk more than two flights of stairs.
