Prepare for load shedding on Sunday

I'd rather have them load shed on the weekends and get their diesel and pumped storage schemes ready for the week ahead than for them to loadshed during the week.

Having no load shedding would be the most ideal situation - but that isn't going to happen anytime soon...

Just bought my Solar Geyser last night. Installed gas hob last month. Next up is switching my lights to battery backup (and PV panels for longterm). Load shedding is slowly becoming less of an issue for me at home.

Brackenfell, when it has been our turn, the CoCT sends out a nice message to say you will not be loadshed. We've been missing it everytime . Then when it's been scheduled that we will be off, Eskom decides not to do load shedding.

At our previous flat we were right next to a hospital (St. Georges) and we would never get shed during stage 1. Stage 2, however, turned off the grid the hospital was on and we would go down as well. Those hospital gennies are LOUD!
