Sorry about the forum.

We never use it and thus don't see when its broken, IRC is our preferred form of communication.

Ill speak to the person responsible for maintaining the forum and get this fixed.

Hey guys. I live in La Montagne (in Chambord flats) and my friend's laptop picked up a wireless network called "DevNet". Does anyone know about this and what is PWP's network ID, just "PWP" or something else?

I have decided to say a hearty "stuff you" to the powers-that-be, and is definitely interested in joining this project.

It all is Greek to me (at present) :p but I'm going to work it through slowly, it sounds exciting.

I am in line of sight with the Chambord flats, and get a very weak wireless signal with my laptop's wireless card.

Is there anybody willing to have me visit them and take a look at the equipment and setups?

I'm behind the hill on which the two flats is standing. On the left is Chambord, on the right is another block of flats (can't remember what) and we're just right of this block, out of sight behind the hill :(

We have a way to connect there, do you live near the Spar?

If you have a view over Silverton and Meyerspark, you could help alot of guys there by running an AP:)
 
Sorry, not close to said Spar tho.

If you go down Pretoria road towards Bronkhorstspruit then you pass a panelbeaters.

I live behind that panelbeaters. :(

Maybe if we can ask the owner of the Spar nicely? but still won't help me as I don't have LOS to the Spar.

I’m living in the Moot area against the Magaliesberg and am busy planning some nodes and trying to get a wug running in the Moot. You will find me idling on the pwp IRC and you are welcome to plot your nodes on http://wind.pwp.za.net and see if you have line of sight to the access points.
