prevent kde from showing unmounted drives

i have this irritating problem kde3.5 it keeps showing my unmounted drives there is an option under view filter but its not permanent i need a permanent solution for this thanx

Is this for the desktop? If so,

Right Click --> Configure Desktop --> Behaviour --> Device Icons --> Click Show device icons --> Unclick the ones you don't want to show.

Could you explain the problem in a bit more detail? Where are your unmounted drives showing up?

but the still show up under storage media
