Well at PCZone that is about R4800 if I'm not mistaken ...........

If you look at the ad and add on what XP Pro costs (about), you get roughly R4800 ..... but I don't know exactly how much XP Pro is these days .......

Its not a good idea to buy 667 ram, rather go for 800

Thanks. Just pulled these components out of the price list. There was no 800. Would 1066 not be better though?

1066 would be useless if you don't overclock.

800 will also be useless if you don't oc, imo just stick with the 667. I doubt you're going to oc (judging from choice of mobo) so your ram will be running at 1:1 from the word go

/if you do plan on overclocking THEN get 1066 or 800mhz ram. 800mhz will be enough. 1066 is going a BIT overkill...

Nope, no OC'ing here :)

Just need a decent PC for admin and some graphics work (no 3D animation, just photo chopping etc)

No get ddr 800 ram it costs about the same at 667.

I am surprised people still sell 667 must be old stock or something.

Thanks for all the replies. Best price I got to with those specific components was R 5600 ex VAT.
