Printer only prints test page from all programs?

Hi all

My colleague's home printer (HP Deskjet 690C Series) only prints the HP test page when she tries to print from any program.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?

My suggestion would have been to re-install the printer.

If the printer is connected to a parallel port I would first try to change the parallel port mode in the Bios setup on the motherboard to SPP (standard parallel port) or EPP. The port may currently not be handshaking properly with the printer. If you are using a USB connection or the parallel port suggestion does not help then I would try a new driver.

Yeah I also think you should align, read what the printout says on top. If that printer has a scanner u probably have to put that page in the scanner for the printer to align it. First go to printer preferences, Service, Allign, and follow the steps.
